Complies with laws and regulations of appropriate state and federal agencies and Joint Commission guidelines. An advanced level of clinical and interpersonal skills are required. Facilitates interdisciplinary treatment team dynamics. Serves as a mentor and primary resource to clinical staff. Performs appropriate initial physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations and designs a physical therapy plan of care - 25%
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of diagnoses/conditions seen in physical therapy
- Selects, performs, and interprets the results of PT examinations of neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and pulmonary systems

- Identifies actual or potential problems that would impact the PT treatment plan as well as the overall patient plan of care
- Establishes specific treatment goals based on the results of the initial assessment

- Attends staff meetings, team meetings, and mandatory in-services as scheduled.
- Lead staff/team/program meetings and coordinates mandatory in-services and training
- Initiates and manages assignments in a timely and thorough manner.
- Assists with care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.
- Completes charge/productivity documentation and enters charges in an accurate and timely manner.

- Provides supervision to Physical Therapy students as assigned
- Participates in student orientation and provides effective learning experiences, feedback and timely evaluation
- Independently manages service recovery for patient/family and team member complaints
Productivity - 5%
- Meets the team/department productivity standards
- Complies with the established standards of efficient scheduling to maintain appropriate levels of productivity
Program planning and development - 10%
- Initiates and conducts PI activities for the department or clinical programs.
-Takes a leading role in the implementation of programs, processes and procedures and in the re-evaluation of current programs and processes
-Motivates, challenges other team members by sharing new information, proposing initiatives, participating in brain-storming sessions and demonstrating creativity
-Represents discipline or service area in interdisciplinary forums within Prisma Health and supports the credentialing and regulatory requirements
- Monitors and documents work plan progression on a quarterly basis
- Responsible for providing documentation of work plan accomplishments to supervisor/manager at annual review
Functions as a mentor for staff members - 10%
- Provides and helps coordinate hospital and departmental orientation for new staff.
-Facilitates new staff on completion of clinical competencies
- Provides supervision and serves as a primary resource to clinical staff and assists them in refining their skills
-Serves as a consultant in their clinical area of expertise

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive
SC PT Licensure from the Board of PT Examiners or PT Compact Commission.
If employed within the Cancer Institute - Center for Integrative Oncology & Survivorship (CIOS) Lymphedema Certification is preferred.
