Industry - Sheet Metal / Building Envelope

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sales, estimating, pre-construction and marketing activities.
- Collaborates with the General Manager and other management/staff in each of the divisions/departments in establishing and recommending the customers/projects thare are pursued to deliver the objectives outlined in our strategic plan and/or forecast/budget.
- Search out, pursue, and secure the most appropriate projects which best fit with the company goals and related (internal and external) resources available to deliver those projects.
- This role requires a high-level understanding of building envelopes and related technical knowledge to communicate both internally and externally to customers, architects, and suppliers, for the purpose of delivering solutions in a cost-effective manner.
- Ensuring accurate quantity take-offs and estimates of costs for materials, labor, fabricating, subcontracting and overhead allocations.
- Actively promote our companies and brands to those companies (GC’s, architects, and property developers/owners) who would reasonably be able to provide work for us or promote us in securing work.
Key Experiences
- Min. 5-8 years’ experience in managing complete estimates, bid submissions and project monitoring for major ($50K-$10 million+ sub-contractor portion) construction projects.
- Min. 5 years exposure and experience within the sheet metal and glazing industry with a keen understanding of key suppliers, activities and construction methodology.
- Demonstrated understanding of profitability by major construction functions.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products, Bluebeam
