Position Overview:
As a LIMS Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing our LIMS to ensure seamless data management across our lab operations. You'll collaborate closely with lab teams, IT, and other departments to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, configure, and customize LIMS platforms to optimize laboratory workflows, sample tracking, and data management.
- Design and implement automation within the LIMS system to streamline sample data entry, testing workflows, and integrate automated lab instruments.
- Integrate LIMS with other systems to ensure smooth data flow across laboratory and business operations.
- Ensure LIMS complies with regulatory requirements and maintains data accuracy and integrity.
- Provide technical support for LIMS issues, troubleshoot system errors, and implement fixes to minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience with LIMS in a laboratory or biotech environment.
- Proficiency with LIMS platforms such as LabWare, STARLIMS, Thermo Fisher SampleManager, LabVantage, or other industry-standard LIMS solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with LIMS automation, including automating data entry, sample tracking, and workflow processes.
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and how LIMS supports data management, sample tracking, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, or Java for LIMS automation, customization, or integrations.
- Familiarity with lab automation technologies (e.g., automated liquid handling, robotic sample preparation, etc.) and integrating them into LIMS.
