Our client is a full-service MEP and Structural engineering company with a variety of long-term contracts with Federal, State, County Government Agencies, along with Commercial, and Institutional Clients. Our impressive list of projects involves renovation, retrofit, expansion and new construction of facilities that encompass energy, hospital/health care, long-term health care, correctional facilities, schools, and universities.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Structural engineer with the ability to design structural systems and components for a variety of building types.
The engineer will be responsible for the execution of structural calculations, drawings and specifications for assigned projects/project tasks either under the direction of a Sr Structural engineer or independently.
The successful candidate will work with a team of designers, engineers and architects to coordinate and develop designs of structural framing, foundation systems, and details; perform structural analysis of new and existing buildings; support MEP departments and Architects on fit-out projects; review shop drawings and RFI’s; and perform site inspections and condition assessments.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with a structural engineering emphasis (Master’s degree is preferred but not required).
• 0-8 years related experience in related experience in new construction, renovations, and additions with structural building and process plant experience preferred.
• E.I.T. required. PE preferred or ability to obtain PE when eligible.
• AutoCAD and REVIT experience
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple active projects.
• Ability to travel from time-to-time (no longer than a week).
