Our Opportunity
As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily production operations to meet production targets at our Dover, Delaware facility. You will report to the Production Leader.
You will work closely with a team of production workers in the manufacturing of membrane materials. You will ensure the timely production and quality of materials to approved specifications.
You will be working along with other skilled and knowledgeable technicians, engineers, and leaders to become a critical part of the team.
Attention to detail with timing, scheduling, daily targets and understanding supply and demand is a must for this role.
The position requires someone who has very good attention to detail and capable of communicating at all levels in the organization. You will ideally have good chemistry knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
As part of the team, you will maintain a safe culture within the group, by ensuring our production processes comply with the safety and quality objectives. To achieve this, you will be hands on in assuring and being responsible for the safety, quality, and sustainability of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create production schedules and apply necessary timelines.
- Lead, motivate, and coach production team to meet daily targets and quality standards.
- Work in clean environments and with cleanroom practices and additional PPE.
- Assist in recruitment and training of new hires.
- Create and ensure compliance to work instructions.
- Ensure accurate reporting and record keeping.
- Maintain cleanliness standard to avoid contamination of materials.
- Teamwork requiring good coordination and communication.
- Perform activities with special attention to details, quickly and efficiently and safely.
- Capable and willing to provide mentoring and guidance to team members as required.
- Conduct performance reviews, recognize good performance, and administer discipline when required.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel for machine maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with implementing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards providing a safe working environment, and continuous improvement in HSE process and integrity performance.
- Reporting on unsafe or non-complying activities.
- Highly Capable of creating work practices and procedures.
- Highly experienced in safe practices to be used with chemicals and other materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or related engineering field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing manufacturing or engineering teams.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Good analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Familiar with modern technology like computers and software.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organized, efficient, good at multitasking, and driven to succeed.
- Experience with roll-to-roll machinery is an advantage.
- Desirable, experience within clean room process.
- Desirable, lean or six sigma experience.
