We are a national engineering services company serving several verticals; construction, civil, landscape, environmental, transportation, water, etc. As we continue to grow, we are looking to add a Sr Civil Engineer.
Position Overview
The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing civil engineering projects from conception to completion. They will utilize their expertise in Land Development and Municipal work to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects, including design, planning, and construction processes
- Develop and oversee project budgets, schedules, and timelines
- Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies
- Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project objectives and provide solutions
- Conduct quality control checks on project deliverables
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
- Monitor and track project progress and make adjustments as needed
- Communicate project updates and progress to clients, stakeholders, and team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT license required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development and municipal projects
- Proven experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Knowledge of hydrology and drainage design
- Strong understanding of construction processes and materials
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
