Senior Project Engineer: Traffic Engineering
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer with extensive experience in Traffic Engineering to support our clients strong backlog of work and continued revenue growth in the Mid-Atlantic market. The qualified candidate will work under the direction of the Project Manager and will be the lead Traffic Control Design Engineer and Traffic Operation Engineer on multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet client requirements and expectations
- Conduct traffic engineering studies and analysis using relevant software such as Synchro and Simtraffic
- Design and prepare traffic plans, including traffic signals, maintenance of traffic, detours, signing, pavement markings
- Provide technical support to other team members and ensure compliance with relevant safety and engineering standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in project management and traffic engineering
- Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
