Position Description
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing plans for the purchase of supplies for Direct or Indirect materials and or services.
- Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
- Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased in line with Procurement strategy.
- Contribute to and implement procurement strategies
- Take full ownership of portfolio including decision making for routine activities
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Manage supplier relationships including and negotiating pricing and contract modifications.
- Market research of products in short supply, researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Conduct cost analysis, summarize for management, report outcomes in line KPIs reports and meetings.
- Drive the Procurement cost of ownership concept with key stake holders.
- Support procurement process optimization within the agreed field of activities
- Identify saving/efficiencies opportunities for the portfolio of products managed.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or operations management, finance, or related field
- Science background beneficial for Chemicals and Bioreagents position
- Possess at least 2- 4 years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, project management or supply chain
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Strong written, verbal, analytical skills and interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, support requests from, and cooperate directly across all levels of the organization
- Ability to influence other members of the organization to help achieve goals and increase performance
- Ability to build relationships and partnerships within the organization
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
