Basic Job Functions: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Properly follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Dispatch drivers to ensure efficient, timely service.
- Provide support to all company and contract drivers and assist in providing solutions to any issues that may arise.
- Coordinate mobile mechanic services as needed.
- Review and process daily paperwork and document contractor delay times for billing reconciliation.
- Monitor driver performance and provide necessary reports to management.
- Maintain a working list of asset inventory to support the commercial team.
- Collaborate daily with commercial and operations teammates to achieve asset utilization rates set forth by management.
- Perform general office administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Travel as needed
Minimum Qualifications: - Dispatch experience required.
- Professional, can-do attitude.
- Eager to go the extra mile to learn the scrap metal recycling industry.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and the ability to learn in house systems.
