With extensive experience managing a variety of commercial construction retail projects including big box, convenience stores, office spaces, healthcare, shopping centers, and remodels, this general contractor has a consistent backlog of work and many lucrative rolling contracts. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred in construction management or related field.
- At least 5 years previous construction experience (or related degree in lieu of experience). Relevant project experience preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software and Microsoft Project (or similar software)
Responsibilities
- Supervise team of project managers and superintendents on initiation of project documentation
- Travel to job sites throughout the state of Texas, most day trips and the occasional overnight
- Assist in cost estimating, planning, and scheduling
- Assist with materials procurement, cost control and quality management
- Develop and implement the submittal schedule, review submittals for accuracy
- Process RFI’s and change orders
- Attend progress meetings
- Assist with the development and completion of punch list activities and close-out documentation
- Mentorship of team members as needed
- Willingness to take on operational duties as needed
- Performs other duties as needed
