Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Vendor Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for managing warranty and insurance processes, as well as contract terms with the vendors and OEMs. The successful candidate will oversee multiple accounts, monitor inventory levels, and hold vendors accountable to service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Duties:
- Manage warranty and insurance processes, including repair contracts and extended warranty terms
- Define and implement rules and procedures for returns, including managing events outside of contract terms
- Oversee 1-10 accounts based on size and complexity, ensuring effective vendor management
- Monitor inventory levels in distribution centers to maintain optimal days of supply
- Coordinate with internal planning teams and third-party OEMs throughout the reverse logistics process
- Audit repair processes for yield and efficiency, ensuring adherence to KPIs related to turnaround time, yield, and cost per unit
- Conduct data analysis and reporting using SAP, Power BI, and SQL to build custom reports and track performance metrics
Desired Skills/Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in reverse logistics vendor management
- Proficient in SAP, Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to run reports and derive insights from data
- Proven experience managing vendor performance against KPIs
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Understanding of how operational decisions impact financial performance and overall business objectives
