Our specialized experience includes design for data centers, healthcare, science and technology, high-rise buildings, clean energy, education, and other building types as well as structural and building sciences, infrastructure asset management, advanced robotics, and more.
Job Summary:
- Work with ZSI engineers and designers to execute and own project hardware design
- Communicate appropriate project details with ZSI team and customer to ensure accurate, high quality and timely work.
- Lead sections of design reviews with clients for scope you developed.
- Document and file all design calculations.
- Develop detailed construction demo and installation documentation and instructions.
- Develop detailed demolition and installation drawing packages.
- Develop panel layouts.
- Develop conduit layouts / wire pull schedules / power supplied loading and watts loss panel heat calculations.
Qualifications:
- A Two-Year Degree in Applicable Field
- 5 Years Pulp/Paper Industry Experience in packaging, converting, material handling or custom automation equipment.
- Fundamental knowledge of engineering and design processes.
- Working knowledge of 480 VAC power distribution
- Working knowledge of Variable frequency drives and servo drives
- Working knowledge of PLC’s and I/O systems, distributed control systems
- National Electric Code expertise (Wire sizing and de-rating, Conduit sizing, Installation requirements)
- Pneumatics and hydraulics experience
- Proficient in using AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated history of implementing engineering and design processes.
Work Environment:
- 60-75% standard office setting
- 25-40% shop and manufacturing facility
Physical Demands:
Sufficient mobility to work in an office setting; stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. Must have ability to walk long distances and possess the flexibility to maneuver in and around machinery to take measurements. When on customer startups, must be able to travel long distances by car or plane and have the stamina to work extended hours (12+ hours per day) for up to 14 continuous days.
