Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently seeking a Senior Project Field Engineer to join our team for a high-profile dock construction project in Hawaii.

Location: Hawaii
Estimated Duration: 5 years. Upon project completion, we aim to offer continued opportunities on other projects.
Position Summary:
The Senior Project Field Engineer will lead the planning, coordination, and technical implementation of engineering initiatives to ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role involves enforcing compliance, developing execution plans, and refining specifications to uphold project quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination & Management: Organize and coordinate all project components, define project goals and timelines with management, allocate resources, and oversee contractor bid reviews.
- Technical Planning & Specification: Establish project specifications by assessing design requirements, client needs, and performance standards; conduct technical analyses; and prepare cost estimates to ensure accuracy.
- Scheduling & Progress Monitoring: Develop and manage project schedules, estimate timelines, and adjust activities as needed to maintain project progress and deadlines.
- Cost Control & Contract Management: Control project expenditures, manage contractor contracts to maintain cost efficiency, and compile project status reports to support effective decision-making.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe, compliant work environment, upholding federal, state, and local regulations to protect the company’s reputation.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records and reports, contributing to team success by achieving related objectives as needed.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years as a Project Engineer on large-scale infrastructure projects, including marine works, concrete structures, highways, or road construction, with experience in European construction companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in reading specifications and blueprints; preparing submittals for civil, marine, mechanical, and road works; managing subcontracts; ensuring compliance with project specifications, with strong knowledge of cost control and regulatory standards.
- Fluent in English (minimum B2 level).
