Electrical Supervisor will report to the Maintenance Manager and lead Electrical Maintenance Operations, overseeing all aspects of the maintenance process. The ideal candidate must be a credible communicator, able to motivate others, prioritize safety, and build respectful relationships with employees and leaders.
Electrical Supervisor Responsibilities: The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for upholding safety standards by ensuring a compliant work environment, conducting risk assessments, and providing expertise on electrical safety.
- Responsible for safety incident reports and safety training completion for self and hourly team of 15 reports.
- Leads Safety Standard Work and Hazard ID process.
- Develop and conduct Predictive Maintenance on all Electrical and Electronic Systems to improve plant reliability.
- Manage of work order backlog and maintains required records and reports for all Electrical and Electronic Systems.
- Assist the Maintenance Leader with the apprenticeship program, lead a unionized team of about 15, and participate in Total Productive Maintenance to drive engagement and address electrical failure root causes.
- Be a technical resource regarding the manufacturing process, equipment, and protocols.
- Work with the Regional Controls Engineer to ensure we have the most current version available for all PLC’s, Panel View, and Drives.
- Able to fully troubleshoot AC/DC/Servo line drives, DC motor control, process instrumentation, transformers, burner systems understanding, data acquisition, etc.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement of reliability performance and cost.
- Lead for all electrical projects and installation that are the Maintenance Department Responsibility.
- Works closely with the Production Department in a team-based environment to continuously improve machine performance and employee efficiency.
Electrical Supervisor Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline.
- 5+ years progressive leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Capability to read schematics and PI&D drawings.
- TPM / Six Sigma / Lean manufacturing experience is highly desired.
- Experience in Reliability Improvements.
- Technical knowledge in DCS control systems and PLC applications preferred.
- Understand the basic industrial electric code.
- Lean Certification or evidence of Lean Manufacturing experience.
