JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our Cyber Defense team. This role will report into to the Director of Cyber Defense and will be instrumental in engineering solutions to security challenges, developing RFPs and RFIs, and conducting incident investigations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack security, scripting, and experience with various security tools and platforms. Responsibilities:
• Engineer solutions to security problems on both proprietary and off-the-shelf software.
• Develop and manage RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information).
• Collaborate with developers to understand and integrate security scripts and APIs.
• Build and maintain SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) automation tools.
• Perform data scanning and classification to ensure compliance with GDPR and DSPN initiatives. Work closely with the existing team of directors and engineers to enhance the overall security posture.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience in a Security Engineer role.
• Ability to engineer security solutions for both proprietary and off-the-shelf software.
• Experience in incident, threat, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency in full stack security and experience with CrowdStrike.
• Hands-on experience with Zscaler, BigID, Security AI, and Rapid7 or transferable tools.
• Experience in a large enterprise environment with international security standards.
• Familiarity with GDPR and DSPN compliance standards.
• Understanding of Scripting language (e.g., Shell, JavaScript Express, Python, etc…) Understanding of developer workflows and API integrations.
