Job Summary:
The HVAC Service Contract Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business and managing client relationships for our HVAC maintenance and service contracts. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, contract structuring, and a client-focused sales approach to drive revenue growth through long-term maintenance agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and target potential clients, including commercial property managers, facility operators, and businesses, to expand the HVAC service contract client base.
- Client Consultation: Meet with prospective clients to assess their HVAC system needs, recommend maintenance plans, and present tailored service agreements.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for HVAC service contracts, focusing on high-value clients and long-term relationships.
- Contract Management: Structure, negotiate, and finalize maintenance and service contracts, ensuring terms align with company goals and client needs.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular follow-ups, performance reviews, and addressing client concerns to enhance retention.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed of market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies and service offerings accordingly.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare and deliver professional proposals, presentations, and RFP responses, highlighting the value and cost-effectiveness of our services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and service departments to ensure accurate contract execution and seamless service delivery.
- Sales Tracking and Reporting: Monitor sales metrics, prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts, and achieve set sales targets.
- Client Education: Provide clients with energy-efficiency and cost-saving recommendations to highlight the value of preventative maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in HVAC service sales, business development, or a related role in the mechanical contracting or commercial HVAC industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, preventative maintenance, and HVAC service contract structuring.
- Sales Skills: Proven sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with an emphasis on service agreements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present confidently to clients and stakeholders.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities to structure contracts that benefit both the client and the company.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite. Familiarity with HVAC service management software is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
