Role: Quality Engineer
Objective: Manage the Metalsa Quality System and ensure the plant meets all quality system requirements to maintain customer certification.
What does a day-in-the-life look like?
- Manage and control quality system throughout the plant
- Deploy IATF activities to quality team to assure plant complies to IATF requirements
- Manage and program internal and external IATF audits
- Act as plant liaison within IATF external auditors
- Respond to IATF external audit results
- Manage quality techs to assure IATF compliance
- Communicate on behalf of Metalsa to the Hopkinsville supplier base related to quality issues
- Maintain and improve the incoming inspection process
- Assure management of internal supplier DMR process
- Assure solution of quality problems in supplier products
What you will bring:
Experience
- 3-5 yrs Quality System and IATF experience
- 3 yrs proven supervisory experience
Education: Associate degree or bachelor's in quality related field
Suggested Skills
- Proven experience in IATF requirements and audits
- Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point)
- Proven experience in structured training (i.e. SPC, GR&R, , PPAP, etc)
- Proven experience in establishing auditing structure and auditing experience
- Statistical Process Control experience and able to demonstrate knowledge
- Ability to understand CMM reported data
- Ability to read blueprint and understand GD&T
- Control plan development experience
- Human Development Management
- Cross functional leadership
- Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Management Fundamentals.
- Core Manufacturing Processes (Stamping, Assembly, Painting, Welding, Hydroforming)
