Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met across all stages of the manufacturing process. You will work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues.
Basic Responsibilities:
- The Quality Engineer supports new product/process development and manufacturing through the application of quality engineering techniques.
- This person will handle multiple projects and tasks throughout product development, product launch and manufacturing.
- Additionally, this individual will ensure product meet quality standards consistent with customer and other regulatory requirements.
- The Quality Engineer will represent the organization and interface with the customer on a regular basis.
- This role also supports plant activities in customer issues, supplier issues, and initiate corrective actions with an emphasis on process improvement
- Manage all quality aspects of assigned product lines and manufacturing processes to ensure highest product quality and assure compliance to internal and customer specifications and standards.
- Participate in development projects to help ensure products and processes are designed, developed and transferred to meet appropriate customer requirements and other regulations.
- Communicate significant issues identified during quality activities and provide recommended process improvements to team or management.
- Lead and participate in Corrective Action and Preventive Action teams in resolving customer, supplier and production issues.
- Disposition any materials and components that are rejected for non-conformance with effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in audits and assessment of the manufacturing operations, and recommends Corrective Actions and process improvements.
- Train associates on key characteristics of product to improve awareness of product quality
Qualifications
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Full understanding and deductive reasoning with root cause analysis and problem solving
- Background & expertise in PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC and Launch is required
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project.
- Must have a professional persona with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- This position of Quality Engineer is in a CNC production machining and assembly facility producing automotive parts.
- Knowledge of CNC machining industry.
- Insure full corporate compliance with IATF 16949 quality standard.
- Compensation depends on experience.*
