Our client is an innovative, small biotech company dedicated to developing transformative therapies for patients with rare diseases. As they continue to expand their pipeline, they seek a strategic and experienced Director of Commercial Forecasting to join their team and lead all forecasting activities to support product planning and commercialization efforts.
This Director of Commercial Forecasting will play a critical role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy. This person will oversee all forecasting activities, providing data-driven insights that will guide product development, market access, and revenue planning. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this individual will be responsible for translating market and patient data into actionable forecasts that inform strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, execution, and management of robust commercial forecasts for products across the pipeline.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Market Access, Finance, and R&D teams to align forecasting insights with broader business objectives.
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to support strategic planning and risk assessment.
- Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and epidemiology data to inform forecasting models.
- Present and communicate forecasting insights to executive leadership and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on commercial strategy.
- Develop and maintain forecasting tools, methodologies, and reporting frameworks to ensure accurate, data-driven projections.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial forecasting within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven expertise in forecasting methodologies, with a strong analytical background and understanding of rare disease markets (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams to translate data into strategic insights.
- Strong skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and proficiency with forecasting software/tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
