This is a remote role. You must live and be admitted in the state of Arizona.
My law firm client defends consumers that have either defaulted on a debt or have a debt owed to a creditor. This position imparts broad responsibilities and exposes you to a range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. Ideally, you will have spent a year in workers comp, personal injury, divorce or family law and are looking for a change. No Bankruptcy experience is necessary, as mentorship will be provided.
You will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contacts, settling claims and advocating for clients in court.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the firm's clients in Arizona
- Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters
- Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
- Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
- Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
Qualifications:
- Must be currently admitted to practice law in Arizona (multi-state admission is a plus)
- JD class years of 2022 & 2023
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000
