We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of our North American division. As a critical member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will shape financial strategies to drive sustainable growth, optimize financial performance, and manage risk. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset and strong leadership capabilities to foster a high-performing finance function aligned with the company’s vision and goals.
- Oversee all financial aspects of the business, including planning, analysis, reporting, risk management, and compliance. The successful candidate will be adept at navigating complex financial landscapes, driving continuous process improvements, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance profitability. This individual will serve as a key advisor to the CEO, providing insights on financial forecasting, investment planning, and potential mergers or acquisitions.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support both immediate and long-term business objectives.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.
- Proactively assess the financial health of the organization, identifying risks early and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Guide all internal control and audit processes, maintaining stringent compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and monitor financial KPIs, conducting margin analysis, cost assessments, and variance analysis to optimize profitability.
- Manage cash flow, credit arrangements, and relationships with external financial institutions, including banks, auditors, insurers, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead and mentor finance and accounting teams, setting clear performance goals and fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture.
- Support the organization’s strategic initiatives, including M&A activities, by conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning.
- Enhance financial reporting systems and ERP platforms to improve data accuracy, streamline processes, and support business growth.
- Ensure full adherence to financial laws and best practices across all jurisdictions where the company operates.
- Partner with the executive team to drive business transformation, optimize internal processes, and achieve strategic objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Master’s degree, MBA, preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Extensive experience in a senior finance role (e.g., VP of Finance, Senior Controller, or similar) overseeing corporate finance, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
- Proven experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and compliance with accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP).
- Strong background in M&A activities, including due diligence, financial assessments, and integration planning.
- Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial management software.
- Demonstrated experience in change management, business transformation, and ERP implementation.
