I am working with a well established General Contractor with close to twent years of experience specializing in Healthcare and Medical Imaging projects across the Carolinas.
They specialise with both Healthcare and Medical Imaging renovation projects up to $5million.
They have projects across the Carolinas, so they are looking for someone who is happy to travel.
About the Role:
Project Planning and Management:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues.
- Implement effective project management techniques, such as Lean Construction and Six Sigma.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure design intent is met.
Site Supervision:
- Oversee daily construction activities, including site layout, excavation, foundation work, framing, and finishing.
- Inspect work performed by subcontractors to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections.
- Address site-specific challenges, such as logistics, access, and environmental concerns.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders.
- Manage project change orders and variations.
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and testing.
- Document and resolve quality issues.
Client and Stakeholder Relations:
- Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct regular project meetings to update stakeholders on project progress.
- Address client concerns and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, such as safety hazards, schedule delays, and cost overruns.
- Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare construction, including experience with complex projects such as hospitals, clinics, and medical office buildings.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in construction management software, such as Procore, Primavera, or other relevant tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
