Position: Sr Software Engineer
Location: Bohemia, NY
Type: Full-time, Direct Hire, Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical expertise for complex software challenges
- Design, develop, document, and test embedded software for space applications
- Develop C/assembly code for bootloaders, BSP, VxWorks, Embedded Linux, RTEMS
- Debug, test, and verify component/board designs
- Create test programs/plans and verification plans
- Represent engineering in customer technical meetings
- Support manufacturing with technical assistance
Requirements:
- Proficient in C and Python; expertise in VxWorks, Linux, Bare Metal development
- Experience with bootloaders, BSP, and device driver development
- Knowledge of Buildroot/Yocto Linux, NAND FLASH memory systems
- Strong hardware debugging skills and lab equipment usage
- Effective teamwork and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field (master's preferred)
- 10+ years of relevant experience
