Fincantieri Marine Group currently has an opportunity for a Business Advisor, HRIS at the Green Bay, Wisconsin location.
The HRIS Business Advisor acts as a liaison between users across the FMG organizations and the IT department, championing continuous improvement while enhancing the solution platform to meet the business's needs and goals. This role supports the business by analyzing needs, solidifying requirements, troubleshooting issues, training focal point users, managing projects, and defining solutions. You will play a crucial role in optimizing HR systems to support the organization's strategic objectives. As a member of the IT Applications Team, you will provide functional and technical support to Business Users to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Team members are expected to become the experts for their applications and have strong knowledge of business processes supported by the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with users and facility/functional area leadership to understand business conditions, operational challenges, and potential opportunities.
- Serve as a business advisor for the implementation and support of HR systems throughout the concept, design, realization, and support project stages.
- Oversee HRIS such as ADP, SAP HRM, PA (HR Personnel Administration), OM (Organizational Management), TM (Talent Management), PD (Personnel Development), and SAP SuccessFactors.
- Collaborate with functional area leadership in tactical and business planning processes, operational planning/review processes, and communication processes to understand business requirements.
- Evaluate business processes and needs with key stakeholders to increase efficiency, productivity, and functionality, translating these requirements into specifications for developers.
- Lead the development of solutions that meet business needs, optimizing configuration, customization, and process change considerations.
- Support peripheral systems and interfaces related to HR business processes.
- Assist developers in unit testing deliverables and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business partners to ensure quality and functionality.
- Define and manage project elements, including scope, schedule, cost, and deliverables, in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Interface and communicate with program/project teams, management, and stakeholders regularly to foster a culture of inclusion and transparency.
- Act as a liaison to HR Information Systems for the implementation and testing of any improvements or new developments. · Training and Documentation: Create, review, and deliver end-user documentation (user guides, process flow charts, training materials) and training sessions.
- Abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures. ·

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an SAP HR Consultant or similar role, with a focus on implementing SAP HR modules (PA, OM, TM, Payroll).
- 10+ years of relevant experience (combined business and technical).
- 5+ years of SAP experience (in areas of Payroll, Benefits, and HR preferred).
- Hands-on experience with SAP configuration and customization.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or other cloud-based HR solutions.
- Experience in full-cycle SAP implementation projects.
- Knowledge of ABAP programming language for SAP customization.
- Strong understanding of HR business processes and best practices, as well as the statutory and regulatory mandates for HR across FMG's business units, including commercial and military customers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to document functional and technical specifications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Project Management Methodology and the ability to manage IT project and program risks, issues, and scope changes using defined program governance processes and tools.
- Certification in SAP HR modules is a plus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. When entering the shipyard, areas of the work environment may not be climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.
