Overview
We are seeking an experienced Attorney specializing in Trusts & Estates to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation in a variety of matters related to trusts, estates, probate, and estate planning.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in matters related to trusts, estates, probate, and estate planning
- Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare proxies
- Assist clients with trust and estate administration
- Handle litigation matters related to trust and estate disputes
- Conduct legal research and keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to trusts and estates.
- Provide guidance to clients on tax implications related to trusts and estates
- Negotiate and resolve disputes through mediation and settlement negotiations
- Represent clients in trials, depositions, and discovery proceedings related to trusts and estates
Qualifications
- 3+ Years of Experience in Real Estate Law
- Admitted to the New York Bar Association
- Background in Trust/Estate Planning and Probate Administration
- Litigation Experience required (Trial Experience a plus)
- Portable Book of Business strongly preferred
