Position Title: Production and Quality Supervisor
Department:Production (PROD) and Quality (QUAL)
Reports To: Operations Manager
Direct Reports: Warehouse staff (approx. 20 employees)
I. Objective:
This position supervises the front-line team in the bottle filling, warehousing, and shipping areas in efforts to meet the goals of the Uberlube business. This role will plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The facility is registered with the FDA for medical device manufacturing.
II. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise all production personnel by communicating job expectations including being responsible for time and attendance management, performance reviews and conflict resolution for employees.
- Development of a daily production and resource plan/schedule to meet business needs and internal business metrics (e.g., productivity, overtime costs, and procedure compliance, etc.).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that all activities meet the quality and production requirements and report regularly to management on performance and improvements.
- Develop, coach and train the production team capability to solve day-to-day operational issues with through effective employee relations and communication.
- Troubleshoot production problems, whether equipment or material issues, and lead investigation activities to identify corrections and eliminate root cause.
- Understand and be able to operate all equipment and troubleshooting.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure the adequate allocation of all resources, including materials, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations and protocols, maintaining a healthy work environment for all staff.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and reporting is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- This role requires regular presence in the warehouse and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. This individual must have the ability to operate a forklift and other manufacturing equipment occasionally.
- This position will shadow the hours of the hourly workforce and may require occasional flexibility in hours.
III. Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED minimum, college degree preferred.
- Bilingual in English / Spanish is required
- Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least three years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required with the ability to be collaborative and lead a team to solve problems.
- Superb problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with an adeptness at identifying and resolving issues quickly and effectively
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
