SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance repairs of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and other building systems. This position will be responsible for supervising subordinate Team Members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of department.
- Ensures that all direct reports follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety practices.
- Train and supervises Team Members on correct procedures to be used when making maintenance repairs.
- Monitor all production and plant utilities’ equipment efficiencies.
- Supervise, develop and train Team Members on best maintenance practices.
- Ensure daily preventative maintenance routing sheets are completed.
- And, any additional duties that may be assigned by Management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations as it pertains to plant operation and maintenance.
- Ability to understand and operate the systems and equipment used at the facility; and, ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
- Ability to perform and analyze various system checks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them appropriately; and, prepare maintenance schedules.
- Ability to work on a team and cooperate with others; positive attitude.
- Ability to work without supervision; self-motivation and self-direction.
- Ability to pay close attention to details; good analytical problem solving ability.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- 3-5 years experience in lead or other related positions.
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
