My client, a Global Healthcare Leader, is seeking an individual Payroll Manager to join their payroll team. This individual will assume a leadership role in training and mentoring and serve as a leader directing and executing all payroll activities, assuring weekly, quarterly, and annual key deadlines are met. This individual MUST have experience processing payroll for over 10,000 employees, have at least 6 direct reports, and have 8+ years of payroll experience. This is a fully onsite role in North Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Payroll Director with crisis management/risk mitigation
- Coach and mentor team members and assign tasks to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively
- Serve as a project leader directing and executing all payroll activities
- Work with the Payroll Director to communicate and implement changes to ensure that the department and company goals are reached
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience processing payroll for 10,000+ employees
- Have had at least 6 direct reports
- Certified Payroll Professional is preferred
