Associate Attorney, Labor & Employment Practice Group – Fergus Falls, Minnesota
Within the Labor and Employment practice group at Pemberton Law, Associates can expect to provide human resources support and advise public entities (school, city, and county employers). This position will also support partners with complex labor and employment matters including, but not limited to; employment litigation, collective bargaining agreements, defending public entities, workplace investigations, labor negotiations, workplace trainings, contract issues, medical leaves, wage and hour, workplace misconduct, and employee separations.
Essential Responsibilities
· Consult with clients to ascertain the details and merits of each case.
· Conduct research using legislation, case law, and other legal texts as sources to decide on mode of operation.
· Draft legal texts, including reports, contracts, and appeals.
· Represent clients at meetings and hearings.
· Remain up to date on changes to legislation.
· Complete all other tasks assigned.

Experience
· Prior law firm experience is preferred but not required.
· Pemberton Law will train suitable candidates that have a law degree and are licensed to practice in the state of Minnesota.

Additional Information
Pemberton Law offers a competitive wage crediting education and experience. This position is non-supervisory and is paid on a salaried basis. Physical requirements are sitting for extended periods and lifting/moving file boxes depending on the needs of the day. Travel to and from client locations is required.
