Our client is a leader in the financial services world dedicated to delivering high-performance solutions to their clients. They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with expertise in low-latency environments and strong multicast skills to join their dynamic team.
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure. Your focus will be on ensuring high availability and low-latency connectivity while leveraging your multicast expertise to support real-time data transmission needs.
The Role:
- Design, implement, and manage network solutions in low-latency environments to meet the demands of our applications.
- Configure and optimize multicast protocols and services, ensuring efficient and reliable data distribution across the network.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve network performance and reliability.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on low-latency environments.
- Strong expertise in multicast technologies and protocols (e.g., IGMP, PIM, MLD).
- Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Experience with network performance monitoring and analysis tools.
- Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
