Job Title : Microservices Architect

Location : Nashville , TN (Hybrid)

Long Term Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Microservices Architect to join our team and lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, distributed, and cloud-native applications. As a Microservices Architect, you will work closely with development, operations, and product teams to ensure our applications are built with the best design practices, enabling scalability, reliability, and efficient management of microservices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant microservices architectures for new applications and modernization of legacy applications.

• Oversee the implementation of microservices, ensuring high performance, resilience, and loose coupling between services.

• Define API standards and design patterns for RESTful, event-driven, or GraphQL services, focusing on security, reliability, and performance.

• Collaborate on cloud strategy, design, and deployment, ensuring microservices leverage cloud-native tools and best practices, particularly with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems. Regularly analyze and optimize system performance and resource usage.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, DevOps, and QA, to ensure successful and timely delivery of projects.

• Establish secure design and data handling practices and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

• Define and document architecture standards, processes, and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality across microservices.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in microservices architecture patterns, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), API Gateway, and Service Mesh.

• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or Node.js.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native services.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
