JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for management of cost, schedule, and risk in the supply chain/procurement/purchasing functions of a cross-functional commodity team. The role will provide management direction and support to an integrated sourcing selection team comprised of project engineers, buyers, and subcontracts administrators for all aspects of the Supply Chain sourcing and procurement functions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides direct oversight of procurement activities supporting assigned commodities
- Assigns day-to-day procurement related tasks and direction to project engineers, buyers, and subcontract administrators.
- Develops and implements long-term and short-term strategies to accomplish business unit objectives.
- Reviews and approves Statements of Work, RFx documents, contract terms and conditions, source selection documentation, and program baseline documentation.
- Serves as an escalation point for establishing action plans and deploying resources for high-impact issue resolution.
- Supports periodic business reviews to maintain a common understanding of business needs and to develop plans/actions for meeting those needs.
- Represents supply chain in executive reviews and review board meetings.
- Tracks and reports key functional metrics to improve material availability, reduce expenses, and improve team effectiveness.
- Leads the development and improvement of supply chain process, policies, and supporting tools.
- Assesses reporting staff’s demonstrated performance relative the expectations for their role and needs of the organization and provides constructive feedback to staff.
- Assesses reporting staff’s skillset/capabilities relative to their current and desired roles and provides development action plans for closure of any identified gaps.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
- Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelors’ degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Law or Technical Discipline
- APICS Certification (CPIM/CIRM) preferred
- Preferred experience in Aerospace, OEM, Electronics, Automotive
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including regulations from the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Aviation Regulations(FAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), False Claims Act (FCA), insurance policies, and intellectual property rights.
- 10-20 percent domestic and international travel expected
Minimum Experience
- 10 plus years' combined experience in procurement operations, MRP planning, engineering/operations planning and/or program management.
- 5 years’ experience negotiating and administering long-term high value contracts
- 5+ years’ experience in the technical aspects of aircraft and non-aircraft related design and manufacturing processes
- Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Advanced understanding of MRP/ERP Systems; SAP preferred
- Proficient in excel functions and other Microsoft applications
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Sourcing, contracting, and production launch completion alignment with program schedules
- Cost out achieved, either on a percent basis or dollar basis
- Purchased material availability
- Timely resolution of supplier disputes, while maintaining alignment with contractual obligations

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
- Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
- Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
- Effectively communicate in Business English language.
- Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
