SUMMARY
The Marine Survey Technician position consists of collecting survey data on projects using GPS and Hydrographic equipment. Reading PDF design plans and specifications. Is responsible for collecting survey data (per Project specification).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates with Project Superintendent and Marine Survey Manager daily
- Perform survey field procedures with GPS equipment
- Collect, import and export data correctly
- Understanding the field procedures using GPS equipment
- Checking in and out of Control site TBMs
- Setting TBMs if needed
- Performing a site calibration
- Collecting As-built Topo’s and cross sections according to Specs with Corps
- Importing and exporting Data using Data Collector and email usage
- Calculating points if needed in Data Collector
- Performing daily fields notes
- Performing Hydrographic Surveys with Dual Frequency Sonar
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work 12‐hour workdays (Project dependent)
- Good driving record (Valid Driver’s License)
- Pass a drug screen and Physical
- Knowledge of Hypack and Dredgepack
- Ability to use Work/Excel and Email Programs

- Can stand on feet most of the workday
- Can endure Outside Environment
- Ability to consistently lift to 30lbs.
