Data Scientist
This role supports an innovative MLOps workload leveraging advanced technologies to enhance key national security missions. The position requires analyzing petabyte-scale data using supercomputing resources, automating workflows, and delivering actionable insights through cutting-edge data science techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analytics, mining, exploratory, predictive, and statistical analysis.
- Develop ML models and automated systems like recommendation engines.
- Refactor manual workflows into highly automated MLOps workloads.
- Visualize insights using tools like Tableau, Python, R, or Microsoft Office.
- Design, develop, and test ML applications using TensorFlow, PyTorch, Python, and Docker.
- Perform model evaluations, statistical tests, and predictive analysis.
- Collaborate with data engineers and multidisciplinary teams to share knowledge and refine solutions.
- Guide junior team members.
- Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Data Tools: Kafka, Beam, NumPy, Neo4j, Weaviate, Kubeflow, Nvidia Triton
- Containerization/Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, K3s, Konvoy
- Cloud & Automation: Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), OPA (Configuration as Code)
- CI/CD & Security: GitLab, Argo, Harness, SonarQube
- Observability: Grafana, EFK, LOKI + OTel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Data Science or Data Engineering.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with eligibility for SCI and CI polygraph.
- Expertise in Python, R, SQL, ML techniques, and deep learning.
- Exceptional communication skills for complex insight delivery.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GitOps patterns, container orchestration, and supercomputing environments.
- Knowledge of statistical and data visualization tools.
