The Data Steward will lead efforts in establishing and executing data management disciplines, including data stewardship, metadata management, data quality, and data lineage. This position is responsible for managing, monitoring, and ensuring the integrity of data throughout the data lifecycle and collaborating with various teams to establish data standards, maintain data quality, and facilitate data accessibility while adhering to regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead efforts to capture/document data requirements within departments and projects.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Data Governance plans
- Support metadata efforts to build a robust data catalog.
- Develop and implement a mechanism to track and report on-going business data risk activities.
- Maintain and recommend enhancements to business data sets, data standards and procedures.
- Coordinates with data-intensive projects to identify business data needs and analytics.
- Ensure data integrity by implementing and monitoring data quality standards and processes.
- Implement access controls and security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and breaches.
- Influences stakeholder alignment with data vision and strategies
- Collaborates with technical partners to implement, support, and integrate data.
- Drive solutions through an adaptive-agile cycle
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in data management, data governance, or a related role
- Experience working with CRM project deliverables in the financial or similar heavily regulated industry (Asset Management or Banking being preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced skills in SQL
- Knowledge of Salesforce and HubSpot, are a plus
- Proficiency in data management tools, databases, and SQL. Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing data and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members
