**Director of Operations – Fiber/Fixed Wireless Access**
This company is a rapidly growing Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) founded by the former CEO of a Tier I telecom company. They work to bring high-speed Internet access to underserved and rural areas using the latest fixed wireless technology. Driven by a passion for innovation and excellence in telecommunications, they are looking for a highly skilled Director of Operations who has experience with fixed wireless networks to join their team.
Position Overview:
The Director of Operations will be key in managing and coordinating tasks, optimizing workflows, supervising technical teams, and providing hands-on support when needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in both Fiber operations and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and knowledge of SONAR OSS/BSS, helping to ensure the continued growth and quality of internet services for company customers. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Louisiana with a full relocation package if needed.
Compensation: 120k+ (base salary and bonus)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and prioritize daily operational tasks to ensure smooth workflows and optimal use of resources.
- Continuously refine and improve workflows to boost productivity and enhance service quality.
- Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high service standards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, setting clear performance goals and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide direct support when needed to troubleshoot issues and uphold service standards.
- Leverage SONAR OSS/BSS to support operational and business functions, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated success in a similar operations role, driving efficiency and service delivery.
- Hands-on experience with GPON and Fixed Wireless Access deployment, particularly with CBRS spectrum
- Solid background in task management, budget oversight, and leading teams to achieve operational goals.
- Familiar with SONAR OSS/BSS systems to streamline ISP operations and support business functions.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across teams.
