Production Support Engineer
Full Time Hybrid role in Coppell, TX

- Troubleshooting and restoring service to application services
The Production Support Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and restoring service to application services. You will also create Incident Response reports for all major incidents and help to communicate process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Monitors dashboards and alerts and responds according to alerts as necessary.
- Research incidents for clients and identifies root cause and works with other teams for resolution.
- Responsible for incident escalation and establishing team meetings to bring resolution to high priority incidents.
- Works with development, DBA, and other engineers to identify problems and bring them to resolution.
- Creates reports, dashboards, and alerts as necessary to ensure that incidents are identified and resolved within SLA.
- Helps create, validate, and approve Operational runbooks and other required documentation for all clients and systems.
- Works with Product, Project, and Delivery teams to ensure successful deployments of new code to lower environments and Production.
- Trouble –shoots and restores service to multiple applications, Networks and systems using industry accepted techniques and procedures.
- May design, code, benchmark test, debug and document programs.
- Performs impact analysis to output data processing based on user and client requirements.
- Analyzes documentation supporting changes in a complex production environment.
- Will communicate status of operations to allow for immediate response to service disruptions.
Basic Qualifications, Preferred Skills, Experience, And Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or related practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL server, with a desired 4+ years as a database administrator
- 5+ years of hands-on experience on Azure
- Strong, analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Hands-on experience with Azure services (Proficiency with Azure DevOps, ARM Templates, Azure Policy, Azure CLI, Azure Rest API).
- Attention to detail and maintaining high quality standards is a must
- Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent issues, demonstrate initiative, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management.
- Adept at learning and applying new technologies and solving new problems.
- Ability to understand and translate business requirements into data and technical requirements.
- High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously.
