IES Communications is seeking a Senior Project Manager/ Construction Manager to oversee a large-scale infrastructure project, with a focus on managing low voltage systems such as structured cabling, audiovisual, and security scopes. This role will involve working closely with other trades, managing cost control, schedule control, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate should have a background in construction management and experience with electrical or low voltage systems, particularly in large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Serve as the Senior Project Manager for a $40 million infrastructure project, primarily focused on structured cabling, audiovisual, and security systems. Ensure all scopes are completed on time and within budget.
- Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Act as the point of contact between various trades, ensuring smooth coordination across all aspects of the project.
- Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the project, including cost control, budgeting, and reporting.
- Customer Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Leadership: Provide leadership to scope-specific project managers, guiding them to successful completion of their individual tasks while keeping the overall project on track.
- Travel/Relocation: While this is an Omaha-based project, candidates outside the area must be willing to travel regularly (4 days per week) or relocate.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Construction Management: Extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects with significant involvement in electrical, low voltage, or similar scopes.
- Low Voltage/Electrical Expertise: Understanding of low voltage systems such as structured cabling, audiovisual, or security systems.
- Experience in Infrastructure Projects: Background in managing large-scale projects (e.g., airports, stadiums) is preferred, with strong cost and schedule control skills.
- Project Coordination Skills: Ability to work with multiple trades and teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and project delivery.
- Travel/Relocation Commitment: Willingness to commit to on-site presence for 4 days per week or full relocation to Omaha, with lodging provided during travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- General Contractor Experience: Candidates with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) management experience, particularly in a general contractor setting, are highly desirable.
- Experience in Airports or Large Facilities: Prior work on large infrastructure projects, particularly in airport settings, is a plus.
