Flowtec is partnered with a reputable General Contractor, that has been in business for 50+ years. They offer design/build, construction management and self-perform services.
They seek an experienced Construction Estimator, due to an internal promotion and business growth. This role will work directly with the Senior Estimator and support their mixed-use, light industrial and healthcare projects.
Responsibilities
- Estimate project costs and change orders, evaluate project scopes, manage costs, and ensure project schedules and quality are maintained.
- Receive and review bid assignments from the Senior Estimator; work on bid evaluations and submissions.
- Analyze and interpret project blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Prepare take-offs, the scope of work, and bid packages for commercial construction projects.
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotes.
- Track change orders and coordinate with the Project Managers to ensure work outside the contract scope is managed.
- Ensure adherence to construction budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating commercial construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in communication, planning, and organization.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Pro Contractor, or preferred estimating software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, multitasking skills, and deadline management.
- Experience with earthwork/utilities is preferred but not required.

- Competitive base salary, $90,000 - $110,000, dependent on experience
