We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineering Manager to join our client's dynamic team. The Process Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a team of process engineers and technicians in developing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. This role will involve both strategic planning and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced production environment
This position requires a hands-on, on the production floor, daily commitment mentality driven to implement and sustain systematic improvement. One of the expectations of this position is for the individual to develop skill sets that lead to potential opportunities with division and plant leadership as part of the organization’s succession planning.
Job Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of process engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate existing manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output.
- New Process Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new manufacturing processes from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with company objectives and standards.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with Quality Assurance to establish and maintain quality standards for manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Cost Management: Drive cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
- Project Management: Lead process engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management to achieve project goals and deliverables.
- Collaboration: Partner with R&D, Production, Maintenance, and other departments to troubleshoot process issues, resolve technical challenges, and implement corrective actions.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and project outcomes. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- 5 years manufacturing experience in process/manufacturing engineering is preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred); Continuous Improvement: 5 years (Preferred); Engineering Background: 5 years (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Safety and quality minded.
- Organized and detail oriented. Self-motivated and team oriented.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications required.
- Ability to work as a team.
- U.S. based travel 15% to 25%, May include international travel 5% to 15%.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
