G&E Partners have partnered with a Top 100 ENR group who are seeking a Senior Estimator for one of their subsidiaries. This individual will be under direct supervision of the Area Manager in Tallahassee, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Win new work to further grow their backlog for new larger projects.
- Bid Preparation: Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work.
- Gather and evaluate cost data from subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Review and revise estimates as needed to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and minimize cost overruns.
- Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to negotiate favourable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and compare actual costs to estimated costs.
- Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation of comprehensive proposals for clients, including technical information, pricing, and project schedules.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of road/heavy highway/asphalt estimating experience required.
- Experience bidding on projects up to $60M.
- Proficiency in Agtek and HCSS heavy bid.
- Valid Florida driving license with a satisfactory record.
- 3 years of supervising experience.
