We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join their growing cloud team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your knowledge and hands-on skills to build and manage a scalable, secure cloud environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in cloud infrastructure and automation, with a focus on Azure services. This hybrid role, based in the Research Triangle Park, NC area, requires onsite presence 1-2 days per week. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply industry best practices within a cloud-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Automate cloud operations using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and PowerShell.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate applications with cloud services.
- Monitor cloud performance and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational best practices.
- Assist with escalations from downstream support teams and work with project managers to develop detailed project plans.
- Stay up to date with emerging Azure features and trends in cloud technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible.
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.
- Solid understanding of Azure security best practices including identity management (IAM) and compliance.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, subnets).
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) preferred.
