JOB SUMMARY:
The Product Engineer is responsible for developing, testing, and improving products to meet customer requirements and ensure manufacturability. This role involves working closely with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure that product designs are optimized for functionality, production efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The Product Engineer plays a key role in ensuring that products meet both performance and quality standards from design through production.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and refine product designs that meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
· Ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and performance. - Evaluate and test product prototypes for functionality, reliability, and durability. - Analyze feedback from customers, production teams, and quality engineers to improve product designs.
· Lead product change requests and modifications based on testing results, customer feedback, and production needs.
· Develop and maintain technical documentation, including product specifications and testing procedures.
· Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers to ensure smooth product launches and production readiness.
· Support the transition of products from development to mass production, ensuring designs are
scalable and repeatable.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Product Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience in product development or engineering.
· Strong knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) principles. - Proficiency in CAD software and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
