The Quality Manager- North America is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance processes within the N.A. warehouses and offices. This role ensures that all activities comply with quality standards and regulations, maintains quality control procedures, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
Essential Job Functions
Quality Assurance Management:
- Leads N.A. Quality Team
- Supports Global Quality Assurance Manager in regard to QEMS, ISO and Continuous Improvement at our facilities in the Americas.
- Develops and implements quality control policies and procedures.
- Conducts regular quality inspections and audits of departmental operations.
- Ensures compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Investigates and resolves quality issues, including customer complaints.
- Interfaces with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assures that effective corrective action is implemented.
Continuous Improvement:
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
- Analyzes quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implements corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
Training and Development:
- Provides training to warehouse staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Develops and update training materials and documentation.
- Conducts regular training sessions to ensure staff compliance with quality standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including inspection records, audit reports, and corrective action logs.
- Prepares and present quality performance reports to management.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless quality management across the organization.
- Oversees the calibration of measurement devices.
Team Leadership:
- Supervises and mentors' quality control staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Fosters a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
Non-essential Job Functions
- Works closely with all departments to identify, implement and maintain process improvements.
- Acts as a liaison between Operations and office personnel to establish a more efficient working relationship.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Highly skilled in verbal and written communication.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Adept at building a cohesive team environment.
- Intermediate technical aptitude.
- Proven experience in quality management within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
