Job Summary:
Join our team as a Packaging Specification Analyst, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance for packaging data across multiple high-impact projects. As part of our team, you will drive sustainable packaging initiatives by managing data validation, guiding suppliers, and maintaining efficient project workflows. With responsibility for over 30 active projects, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact in sustainable product packaging, regulatory alignment, and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Data Accuracy and Compliance: Conduct packaging analysis for each unique product (UPC) to confirm data accuracy, completeness, and readiness for extraction. Oversee supplier documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external packaging requirements.
- Supplier Communication and Guidance: Schedule and lead supplier meetings to provide detailed guidance on required data entry standards, database navigation, and compliance expectations. Communicate corrective actions and ensure swift updates where necessary.
- Regulatory Compliance and Data Verification: Perform research on packaging materials, verify certification requirements, and assess regulatory compliance for each project. Review and correct data as needed based on project-specific requirements.
- Data Management and Corrections: Utilize Excel for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting, particularly for larger supplier product listings. Complete data corrections promptly for projects where specifications have changed or need updates.
- Supplier Onboarding and System Access: Manage supplier onboarding processes and facilitate access to our PLM platform (Trace One) to streamline data entry and compliance adherence.
- Project Escalations and Timely Turnarounds: Ensure that high-priority or escalated projects are completed within a 2-3 day turnaround. Provide regular status updates and maintain detailed logs for each project to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate on side projects, assist with data clean-up initiatives, and contribute to team goals as needed, supporting broader organizational sustainability and compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with data accuracy and quality assurance
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis, extraction, and manipulation
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with packaging specification systems and regulatory requirements is a plus
- Experience with Trace One (PLM) or similar platforms preferred
