About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Project Manager with significant experience in Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) projects. This role involves coordinating the planning, design, and administration of office functions related to transportation and infrastructure projects, with a focus on ensuring compliance with MTA standards. The successful candidate will manage project documentation, liaise with multidisciplinary teams, and oversee budget adherence and scheduling from an office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project stakeholders, including design and construction teams, to ensure that all MTA project requirements are met efficiently and on time.
- Document Management: Oversee the preparation, submission, and approval of all project documentation. Ensure adherence to MTA standards, including project manuals, design specifications, and compliance records.
- Budget and Schedule Management: Track project budgets and schedules, ensuring compliance with MTA and other relevant governmental guidelines. Prepare regular status reports to communicate progress and forecast project outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between MTA representatives, contractors, and internal team members. Coordinate meetings, maintain clear communication channels, and resolve any issues that arise.
- Contract and Vendor Management: Assist in the procurement process by reviewing bids, coordinating contract execution, and managing vendor relationships.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on documentation and processes, ensuring all materials align with MTA specifications and project goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 to 12 years of experience with the MTA or similar large-scale infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of MTA’s processes and compliance standards.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in project management and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Project Management Software).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience with budget and scheduling management.
- Certifications (Preferred): PMP, PE license, OSHA certification, or other relevant credentials.
