Corporate Group Sales Manager
The Corporate Group Sales Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, collaborate with internal teams, and deliver exceptional service to enhance customer loyalty. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong selling abilities, and a thorough understanding of property operations, including food and beverage services and event planning. Attendance at trade shows and networking events, along with accountability for sales calls, site visits, client meetings, and appointments, is a key aspect of this position.
Managing Sales Activities:
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the corporate group market segment, including industry trends, competitor activities, the property, and the local community.
- Develop and execute proactive sales strategies to attract and secure corporate group bookings.
- Handle corporate group inquiries and leads, ensuring alignment with predefined Group Sales parameters.
- Address group and catering opportunities promptly, referring complex or high-value opportunities to the appropriate sales associates.
- Align corporate group needs with hotel offerings, using up-selling techniques to enhance revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the accurate and timely handling of business to ensure a smooth service delivery throughout the event lifecycle.
- Utilize effective selling techniques, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of property operations to achieve sales goals.
- Stay informed about market conditions and competitor activities to optimize sales strategies and close deals effectively.
- Manage operational tasks related to corporate group bookings, including creating proposals, drafting contracts, and managing client correspondence.
Building Successful Relationships:
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing and new corporate clients through proactive sales calls, client meetings, site visits, and networking activities.
- Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events to expand the corporate client base and uncover new business opportunities.
- Organize and participate in client meals, appointments, and other relationship-building activities to enhance engagement and business development.
- Develop and leverage connections within the business community to drive sales and identify new opportunities.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and expectation management throughout the sales process.
- Address and resolve issues that arise during the sales process, escalating to leadership as necessary.
Using Knowledge of Market Trends:
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to achieve personal and hotel sleeping room goals and revenue targets for the corporate group segment.
- Analyze market trends, including competitors’ strategies, economic factors, and supply and demand dynamics.
- Provide tailored solutions based on a thorough understanding of corporate clients' needs and business challenges.
Providing Exceptional Customer Service:
- Support the company’s service and relationship strategies to foster long-term corporate client loyalty.
- Deliver superior customer service that meets or exceeds company standards and enhances client satisfaction.
- Engage with corporate clients to gather feedback on service quality and product offerings, modeling exemplary guest relations.
Required:
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field; with at least 3 years of experience in sales and marketing or a related professional area.
Preferred:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field; with at least 1 year of experience in sales and marketing or a related professional area.
- Prior experience in selling corporate group business, either at a property or within a sales office.
- Familiarity with property operations and food and beverage services.
- Experience in team-based selling and hospitality management.
