Outside Sales Representative
$80K OTE $120K/uncapped
Need to be based in Northern California ideally within 100 miles of Sacramento
Remote with travel: 401K match, FSA, Health, Life, PTO, Vision, Tuition reimbursement, $650/month for travel reimbursement
Engtal’s client is a world-wide leader and manufacturer of Scientific Instrumentation for food and beverage, food packaging, water testing, and chemical testing. They offer over 3,000 products and sell across 65 countries as they work to solve some of the world’s biggest problems. They are quickly growing and in need of someone to manage current customers and find new ones in an untapped territory. This person will focus on Northern California customers and will have the opportunity to work with big name clients.
Role Details:
- Primarily an outside sales role traveling to current and new customers
- Focus on key account management with higher-level customers
- Handle the upsells, expansions and renewals of accounts
- Works with inside sales representatives and marketing on lead generation
- Requires a "hunter" mentality
- Target market includes food manufacturers, focusing on QA/QC and R&D
- Responsibilities: 60% new business development, 40% account management
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience within the scientific instrumentation space – not capital equipment
- Must have experience in chemical or Food & Beverage sales, specifically to food manufacturers (not retailers)
- BA in Chemistry or Biochemistry or equivalent experience
- 50% travel
