A leading manufacturer of bath products, specializing in medical walk-in tubs , steam bath generators, free-standing and drop-in whirlpool bathtubs and trend-leading fashion fixtures are looking to hire a Production Manager. The position is based in Miami with a Hybrid schedule.
Production Manager will oversee the daily operations of our bathtub manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a background in using ERP systems to manage production processes and inventory control. This role requires effective communication with the sales and supply chain teams to ensure material availability and alignment with customer demand. Additionally, the Production Manager will drive continuous improvements to ensure the company's reputation for luxury products remains unmatched.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, operators, and warehouse staff to meet production goals for luxury bathtubs.
- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the production facility.
Production Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while ensuring adherence to the company's high-quality standards for bathtubs.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure production aligns with market demand and communicate any potential delays due to material shortages.
ERP System Management:
- Use ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, Netsuite) to manage and track production activities, inventory levels, and material resources.
- Generate and analyze reports on production metrics, including output, quality, and efficiency, providing insights to senior management and the sales team.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Proactively communicate with the sales and supply chain teams when materials are running low, ensuring there are no disruptions in production.
- Align production capabilities with sales forecasts, ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled on time.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to enhance production efficiency by implementing lean manufacturing principles and reducing waste in the bathtub production process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality control, to resolve production challenges and optimize workflows.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all bathtubs meet high-quality standards, working closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any defects or issues that arise.
Safety & Compliance:
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with all industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Inventory & Resource Management:
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and components in the ERP system, ensuring timely replenishment to avoid production delays.
- Coordinate with the procurement and supply chain teams to streamline inventory management and reduce lead times.
Warehouse Management:
- Work with the warehouse team to ensure efficient storage, material handling, and logistics, optimizing support for production needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a production management role within a high-velocity manufacturing environment.
- Experience using ERP systems (preferably Acumatica or Netsuite) to manage production and inventory processes.
- Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in bathtub manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems.
