The LinkedIn Infrastructure Engineering Technical Program Management Group is looking for a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team which is part of LinkedIn’s Infrastructure engineering organization. Infrastructure engineering consists of over 2,000 engineers who are responsible for infrastructure that runs linkedin.com. The org builds and operates massive-scale systems ranging from physical DCs, networking, storage, compute, observability to Data and AI/ML platforms. We also contribute to the technical community by open sourcing our latest technologies.
The Senior Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) will have the opportunity to drive cutting-edge improvements to our advanced machine learning infrastructure and platforms. You will own and drive key areas of LinkedIn’s AI/ML infrastructure and platforms that power all AI applications across LinkedIn’s products serving hundreds of millions of users. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams across LinkedIn to lead and deliver high impact and cutting-edge solutions. This Senior Staff TPM will initiate, plan and execute large scale, cross-functional and company-wide programs.
Responsibilities:
• Define a strategy for large-scale, multi-phased technical programs in Data and AI platform infrastructure space that span across various platforms, infrastructure, SRE, and product domains, covering both software and hardware aspects.
• Lead the technical programs through the full lifecycle process from initiating and planning, to execution, monitoring, and landing impact.
• Define, scope, and track ancillary operations projects including capacity planning, hardware procurement, and deployment.
• Help teams be more efficient, see the big picture, and ensure processes scale appropriately with the company.
• Partner with VP level leadership on program execution and organization efficiency.
• Work closely with ML infrastructure engineering to coordinate and deploy features to production. Set the teams up with best-in-class program management practices (Risk management, Stakeholder management, Communication strategy, Conflict resolution, etc.)
• Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, and learning.
• Manage and maintain program roadmap and ensure forward momentum with strategic execution.
• Manage dependencies and schedule alignment between multiple projects within the program.
• Mentor individuals in best practices for planning and execution.
• Develop strong partnerships with technology and business leaders.
• Manage & lead resource planning.
Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ years of technical program management experience
• 3+ years of technical program management experience in either infrastructure, Data, or ML/AI platform areas.
• B.S./B.A. in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and technical programs to deliver successful outcomes at the intersection of areas such as Data, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and Hardware.
• Thorough knowledge of Infrastructure domains in both Cloud and On-Prem Data Center settings.
• Good understanding of fleet modernization and modern cloud technologies (e.g., microservices, Kubernetes).
• Proven track record of leading teams and programs to deliver successful outcomes. This includes using best practices for scheduling, monitoring, tracking, and executing technical programs, as well as initiating, planning, and executing large scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs.
• Excellent balance of people, organizational, and technical skills, with the ability to execute and deliver successfully in high-ambiguity situations.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other Engineers, PMs, Executives, etc. Skilled at cross-functional and cross-organizational communication and able to challenge leadership when necessary.
• Organized, with attention to detail and a focus on elevating the TPM Craft to the highest standards.
• Ability to traverse both vertically and horizontally in a large organization, balancing tactical and strategic objectives.
• Previous experience working with geographically-distributed teams.

The pay range for this role is $160,000 to $262,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
